I offer many types of training
programs for you and your dog. All programs are designed specifically
for your lifestyle and situation. I offer three basic programs
as well as a mild protection training program. All of the
commands I teach include not only a verbal command but also
a hand signal so you and your dog learn both.
The Well-Mannered Pet:
This is my most popular program since it covers all of the
basics. Your dog will be taught to heel, sit, stay, come,
place, walk on a leash, and proper behavior in and around
the home. I can also correct bad behaviors. Everything from
stealing socks to digging holes in the yard, jumping up on
people to going up on counter-tops. This also includes destructive
chewing, house breaking, aggression problems, and play biting
for puppies. Whatever you determine is improper behavior would
be corrected. The length of this program depends greatly on
the age of the dog, the lifestyle you lead, how much time

Advanced Obedience:
This program is mainly for somebody who has already been through
a well-mannered pet program. This gives your dog the advanced
knowledge of how to behave off the leash in a situation such
as on the beach, in the woods, or in a park. Normally it teaches
the dog to come directly to you off leash. I teach the far
enough command which tells the dog to stop going further
away from you and the let’s go command so you
can take a walk through the woods or down a beach and have
your dog stay with you. Again this is an off-leash program
and designed for a dog that has already been through the well-mannered
pet program. By the end of this program, you should be able
to expect your dog to be able to go to a dog park or any place
that allows dogs to be off leash and be able to control your
dog verbally.
Tricks for Treats:
Once again, this is a program for somebody who has already
been through the well-mannered pet program. This is a fun
program to teach your dog some tricks. These tricks are not
only fun to impress friends and family but could also be used
in television commercials. With this program you can chose
up to three different tricks out of approximately 20 tricks.
I can help you chose which ones you may like to do. I normally
use the clicker method for this. This makes the tricks
fun for the dog because there is virtually no discipline.
Protection Training:
I do offer a protection training program that involves such
behaviors as teaching your dog to bark on command and protection
of your home and property. This program is a custom program
designed for your individual needs.
