We adopted a rescue Airedale terrier about 2 years ago and from day one Monty was a 'project'. He didn't listen at all but his worst habit was bolting for the door every time it opened. He has gotten loose several times and once was found about 2 miles away from our house. Another time he ran straight for a six lane highway. We were constantly nervous about friends and kids coming in and out of our house and Monty getting loose. It was also a pretty miserable experience walking him on a leash. He pulled and strained and barked at everything. I heard about Canine Magic from a guy who was walking his dog in my neighborhood and saw me trying to wrestle Monty. There really are no words to describe what Hal has done with Monty - and us - in a few short weeks. I keep telling Hal, and anyone else who will listen, that the change in our dog is truly a miracle!! In addition to the usual sit, stay, down, etc. Hal helped us train Monty on the important stuff that could cost him his life if he were not trained. No more battles at the front door when the doorbell rings. Monty backs up about 10 feet and we open the door wide open while he sits and waits. He goes to his 'place' during dinner time or when company is over and stays there until released. He walks beautifully on a leash (with a pinch collar that I once thought was cruel but it's a lifesaver)and heels, sits at an intersection until given heel command, and no more pulling on the leash. Monty is currently learning the boundaries of his front yard and we have progressed to the point that the neighbor's kids can play in the street and call his name and he won't leave the yard! Hal's training techniques are solid and effective because he thinks like a dog and teaches us how to think like a dog! I would never have guessed that our dog could be so different in just 10 weeks but he is. In fact, Monty was a better dog after the very first lesson! We can never thank Hal enough for training Monty to be such a pleasure to our family!

My husband and I brought home our first puppy "Sully", and we were clueless how to train him. More than training the dog - we needed to be trained! We looked into several training options, and we decided one-on-one training would be best for us. Hal was able to give Sully the attention he needed and base the training on Sully's and our needs. We did not have to share our training session with 5 other families like other training programs entail, plus there were less distractions for Sully during the learning stages. Eventually, Sully started learning how to obey commands in public, and we have a well balanced dog thanks to Hal!

Hal has worked wonders with our 7 month old yellow lab. After trying to train her ourselves with the help of a puppy class, we knew we needed some professional help to get the results we wanted. Hal's techniques work quickly and don't require excessive amounts of training on your own. Our dog is now very well behaved and we look forward to taking her everywhere she is allowed.

When we adopted a very large 10 month old Lab/Golden Retreiver mix we discovered she was a handful. Hal not only taught the basic obedience commands, but also addressed individual concerns and questions we had. We highly recommend Hal!

Hal helped me out so much! He was able to help me train my two dogs to go on walks with me at the same time. I didn't think this was possible considering one dog weighs only 5 pounds and the other weighs 80 lbs! One of the best parts about working with Hal is that his style of training is simple and easy to do and practice between training sessions. I highly recommend using Hal for any dog training you may need!

Hal has taught us to be better pet parents. We have learned that our puppy cannot differentiate between the right fabric chewing and the wrong fabric chewing. What a simple concept. The correct method is no fabric toys. We have learned that "calm" is always better than "loud" resulting in a happier puppy who is proud of his good behavior, and happier pet parents , doing a better job of training him to be a good citizen, welcome wherever we take him.

What a difference Hal's training makes! He trained both my dogs, a yorkie and a large yellow lab. I am constantly getting comments about how well behaved they are in public. I am happy to say that my yellow lab puppy can now walk near a lake and not pull me in with him! A well trained dog is a happy dog and I have two very happy dogs.

Hal is great. My golden retriever NOLA is now the dog of my dreams. I'm glad we started training early before she developed any real behavior problems. I recommend Hal wholeheartedly.

We had time for just one visit with Hal and our 4 rowdy dachshunds before we moved. He was able to work miracles with them in just the one hour visit! We wish we had called a long time ago! My mom, who is not a dog person, cannot believe the change in them, and says that she actually enjoys being around them now! Thank you so much, Hal!!

We have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and it was getting to the point where we would go through times where he wouldn't eat his food becase he got tired of it. Hal turned us onto Life Abundance dry food for weight loss and now we mix it with his raw food and then some days just give him the dry food and started feeding him twice a day. Now he can't wait to eat. He actually cries while we're preparing his food because he just can't wait. Thank you, Hal!!!

I just want to thank Hal for his amazing training!!!I have two pitbulls Chula and Chuches and before I met Hal it was almost impossible for me to take both of them for a walk!!!They would walk me, I had no control. Now it is a pleasure to walk them, they heel, obey my commands, they have completly changed thanks to Hal!!
